A free, offline tool for FSSAI + Legal Metrology food labels

Step by step

  1. Product identity (01). Food name, brand, common/generic name, and the veg / non-veg / vegan mark.
  2. Ingredients (02). List everything in descending order by weight; tick allergens to auto-bold them.
  3. Nutrition (03–04). Enter per-100g values — per-serve and %RDA calculate automatically.
  4. Quantity, price & dates (05). Net quantity, MRP, mfg / best-before, batch. Tap Auto-calc for the unit sale price.
  5. Manufacturer & licence (06). “Declared as” role, address, 14-digit FSSAI licence, and consumer-care person + phone.
  6. QR & barcode (07). Add a traceability link and a 12–13 digit EAN-13.
  7. Custom fields (08). Certifications, GI tag, recyclability, and any extra declaration.
  8. Brand & design (09). Upload your logo, pick a theme colour and heading font, and add optional Hindi text.
  9. Watch the compliance meter. Aim to get every mandatory item green.
  10. Export. Print / Save as PDF, download PNG, or save to your library. Use Batch (CSV) to make many at once.

FAQ

Is the app really free?

Yes — every feature is unlocked. No accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once loaded, the whole app runs without a connection, and your data never leaves your device.

Is a label from this app legally certified?

No. It lays your label out to FSSAI 2020 and Legal Metrology 2011 requirements and flags missing mandatory items, but it is an aid — you remain responsible for accuracy. Verify final artwork and nutrition figures with your FBO or lab before printing.

Where does my data go? Is it private?

Nowhere. Everything you enter is stored only on your device. There is no server. See the privacy policy.

How do I make a bilingual (Hindi) label?

In section 09 (Brand & design), fill “Product name in Hindi” and “Ingredients in Hindi”. Devanagari text renders under the English text.

How is the unit sale price calculated?

Tap “Auto-calc” in section 05. It divides MRP by net quantity (e.g. ₹349 ÷ 250 g = ₹1.40 per g), to two decimals as Legal Metrology requires. You can override it.

Can I make many labels at once?

Yes. In Batch (CSV) mode, download the template, fill one row per product, load it back, and print or export them all — including sticker sheets (1/2/4/8 per A4).

How do I add a barcode?

In section 07 enter a 12- or 13-digit number. A scannable EAN-13 appears on the label; a 12-digit entry gets its check digit added automatically.

How do I save and reuse a product?

Tap “Save to library”. It’s stored on your device and reloads in one tap. Use Export for a portable backup.

How do I print or export?

Use “Print / Save as PDF” for crisp vector output, or “Download PNG” for an image. On a phone, the browser’s print/share sheet saves to PDF.
